Summary continued.
After the recent events in the movie as you know it, it skips ahead thousands of years to the time of Rick O'Connell. But there's the time gap in between that was never told because was there? There was the story of the Scorpion King and how Imhotep tried to ally with him to kill Rick, plus the fact that Evy had ancient Egyptian ties as daughter of Seti. Therefore to fill in the gap to find out what had happened between the years 1290 BC and 1923 AD, I have decided to make a fan fiction tale up. Surely there must've been cults or a cult that have attempted to raise Imhotep from the dead and to capture the princess but failed so many times because of the Medjai, heroes and even forming alliances with old foes against a common threat.
Well then, here we are. I have decided to change the course of this mod to a much simpler one.
Here's the untold tale and keep in mind, this is a fan told tale so do not assume I am claiming characters are my creation. This is a mod based on one of my favorite film series.
Seti is dead, murdered in cold blood by Imhotep and Anck Su Namun. But after the death of the two treacherous lovers, a cult secretly arose called the Circle of Imhotep, vowing for vengeance. With the New Kingdom desperate to appoint a successor to the throne since Ramsess II is not born yet in another decade, the realm is slightly weakened & exposed. Just when things could not get any better, it got worse. The cult begins to bring chaos to the people, killing many who had loved the Pharaoh with all their hearts. The Pharaoh had the love of his people while Imhotep had the love of Anck Su Namun, his fellow priests and the newly formed cult.
The Medjai do their best to keep order and the peace. At first, it was just small waves of raids upon villages, but as the number of cultists grew, the Medjai begin to realize that something else was up. Knowing in their minds that they cannot allow the cultists to resurrect Imhotep. The New Kingdom was in utter danger of a walking disease with the power of invincibility as told by Oded Fehr in the movie. After all, it was the Medjai who created a monster from the former high priest Imhotep that must be contained for eternity as punishment for what he had done in his lifetime.
Now over these past months, I have learnt how to edit scenes as well as things I already know about modding (Only things left now are 3D modelling and mapping. Trust me when I say this, I have tried mapping and I will keep on trying. But scenes will be worked on immediately.)
With the nobles of the Egyptian Empire yet to appoint Seti's son, Ramesses II to the throne, who is not born in another 10 years or so, enemies such as the Hittites plan an invasion, while the cult continue with their evil work to resurrect Imhotep and his undead minions. The Mittani hope to negotiate a military alliance with Egypt against the Hittites. The Babylonians remain neutral for now. Knowing the Egyptian Empire is under threat from all sides, the Medjai prepare everyone for war.
Factions:
The Egyptian Empire (Sarranids)
The Hittite Empire (Nords)
The Mittani (Vaegirs)
The Babylonians (Swadians)
For the last two, I am hoping to merge the two factions together.
Cult of Imhotep (Khergits)
The Undead (Rhodoks)
Just keep in mind everyone, it will take time to re add the other factions that I had turned invisible. Troops will be reworked, same with npcs, banners etc.
Update: I am currently working on the city of Thebes. Will upload a screenshot when I finally finished.

so... update?
Awesome! I would like to know if there are the soldiers of Medjay (the one who fought against the army of anubis) and also the army mentioned above, thx!
Yes, they are in the mod. But their clothing are not like what it is from the movies. I had to improvise by retexturing some of the Sarranid light armor to make it look like the Medjay's armor.
well the mod is great thanks!
the map seems to be empty, is there anything to do?? i can only see a few towns but the towns that belong to the swadia and the nords are not here
That is because I removed them in the previous mod by making them invisible. I will be adding them back since I've decided to include all factions now. As you can see in the description above, I have made sure there will be 6 factions. Best to wait until I've made the brand new version. The old mod is now turned into a new one.
This looks awesome!
Thanks, it still needs alot of work.
