I keep getting an error stating Ambiguous package name: using 'd:\programfiles\steam... TH-lightingFX.upk', not 'd:\program files\steam\teamapps\common\unreal tournament3\hauntedgame\publish\content...\TH-LightingFX.upk' (not just for that file but for 100s of the other files in the mod. Before installation (which was a steam installation) I deleted the previous version of the mod. But the mod doesn't run!  Is there a zipped version of the mod I could just download instead or is there something I should do like deleting one of ut's ini files?

There seems to be another hauntedgame folder in your ut3 installation dir. The Hauntedgame folder only has to be in MyGames/...

I checked, there isn't anything there. Then again I have the MyGames folder on my c drive and the ut3 steam installation on my D drive. (even though that doesn't stop the installer from installing the files into the right place, that place being MyGames/..ect)

Doesn't work for me neither and the only installation I have is on the documents/mygames. (Of The Haunted) Please tell me what could be the problem?

Hmm strange. If the haunted is soley installed in mygames, you shouldnt get ambigious package name errors.
You could also try deleting the cache files in Mygames\...\Unreal Tournament 3\UTGame\Cache
