Mod Features: Resource Management: The resource management in The Great Trench War will be considerably different from the vanilla BFMEII. With the objective of making the process as realistic as possible without disturbing the smooth play of BFME, mines and tree harvesting will be replaced with railroads whereby the player captures railway stations. Trains are then dispatched at regular intervals to supply the goods required for construction and unit training. As a secondary resource, players must capture flags in key strategic locations; this will encourage their commanders to provide more resources. Gameplay: The gameplay in The Great Trench War will be vastly different from BFMEII in a variety of ways. Trench warfare will be simulated, and there is a strong emphasis on realism. Sir, our pilots have successfully returned from their mission! They have taken six reconnaissance photos, apparently revealing a German base somewhere near the front line from which they appear to be coordinating their main assaults.

The base consists of several typical German buildings:

- The German Korpscommando, which it would seem is a Field Headquarters of some description; the Germans are using this buildings as a gathering point for their 'Pioneer Korps' – essentially Engineers. It is also being used as an observation post; the balloon is seemingly being used to overlook the surrounding area.

- The German Barracks, where the soldiers who defend the nearby area are currently stationed and trained. It is recognisable by the well - a structure used by the German troops not only as a primary source of water, but also presumably to help douse fires.

- The German 'Oberste Heeresleitung' (OHL); an Upper Command. Little information has been obtained about this building; we believe it is where the Generals plan their strategies, but details of these have yet to filter through.

We have seen the other factories before, the Tank Factory and Artillery Factory; they are also in this base, which may indicate a large-scale offensive with heavy machinery is imminent from this location. Indeed, it is clear they have already began production; A7V's and converted FT17's have been spotted in the immediate vicinity.

Be prepared! We hope our pilots can take further photographs during their manoeuvre next week.
