The only thing I don't understand about the gun is the butt of it, where the ridges are. What is there purpose? I love the overall design, though, and it has definitely improved.
They make it look more badass. :)

Ask the concept artist for the purpose of the ridges. The reason I would put for them is that when the stock is held up onto the shoulder (Aiming down sights) the ridges stop the stock of the gun moving around.
