General The Forgotten War, the Far Cry modification, is a teamwork-based, real time strategy first person shooter modification based on the Korean War. The mod will have a unique game play, based upon a commander commanding a group of soldiers and building buildings, vehicles, tanks, aircraft and artillery. A unique supply system will keep you in its grasp as you face the enemy, side to side with your brothers in arms. Realism The Forgotten War strives to make realism as closely accurate to real life as possible, while steel keeping game play fun and enjoying. The general for each team will be able to assign ten (10) squads, which have sub-commanders that each have a unique set of commands and voice commands allowing the possibilities to be just as realistic as real life. A unique physics model allows the destruction of bridges, guard towers, roadblocks and buildings. Hey Guys, This was posted at last night... I bring you an amazing model today from The Forgotten War mod. They have sent me six outstanding renders of their T34 tank. The model was done by Emp. That is one of the best models I have ever seen. I would like to say excellent work to Emp. Chuck and to the entire team, this mod is looking awesome. Keep the updates coming and I can't wait for the launch of your new site!

And Far Cry Files reports that we have a new developer diary up at File Front.

File Front has posted up a Developer Diary for the Forgotten War modification in the Farcry community. Here's a snippet from the Diary:

As for new models wise we have been lacking in that department, Emperor Chuck has been moving like crazy these past few weeks but once he’s done progress on vehicles will go back up again. As for the weapon models, and miscellaneous models, blame Psy for that one as he has been working like me and time is just really short, so if you see him, make sure to give him that morale boost to keep him encouraged and do what he does best, model.
