What if GDI and Nod failed to defeat CABAL during the Firestorm Crisis? The Awakened is a lightweight cyborg model designed with focus on speed and firepower. It's lighter construct enables it to move faster than most bipedal cyborgs while still maintaining enough strength to carry a heavy laser rifle. This weapon is particularly effective against infantry and vehicles but weak against structures, thus limiting it's use to eliminating enemy units quickly. It's smaller size does enable it to garrison structures to compensate for it's thin armor and it also has the unique ability to charge up Obelisks. A single Awakened can boost an Obelisk's firepower slightly while two of them can keep the tower functioning even during a power outage.
