Hi, everyone! We might have been silent, but all this time we've been working on polishing the very first missions of Kyle Katarn in The Dark Pastime mod. This was perhaps the most complicated task before us, as everything was ready, when we started playing the mod the way it was. We also distributed the Chapter among some of the our friends and fans and that's when all the fun began!
While we were very careful in making the maps, and experienced lot of trouble with the JA engine, there were many glitches, that we've finally fixed with the help of our testers. Some of the bugs still remain in the mod though (we mention them in the ReadMe files, be sure to check it!).
In any case this was a very big work done. It would be impossible to complete it without our friends and families, as well as fellow fans, many of which took direct part in making The Dark Pastime, like making some models for us, or maps, or voice-acting, or simply backing up our efforts with kind words. We would like to thank everyone for their continuous support.
So here is the link below. Just remember, that this is a work of fans, without proper professional experience, but who did their best to bring this story to your attention. Don't be too harsh towards certain decisions and voice-acting. Enjoy the game and May the Force be with you!
Important note: The link contains several files, follow the Installation Instructions from DP_Install_guide.txt via the link to set the mod correctly (!!!).
Important note 2: The mod still has a few minor bugs, which due to JA specifics can't be fixed at the moment (despite all our efforts). Check ReadMe files for information and possible solutions.
Important note 3: We might change the link and update the files during these days, should we find any new bugs in the mod.
Please, upload the mod on moddb or any other resource if you don't mind. Yandex disk is forbidden in my country. So, it can be easier to download the mod for me and other Ukrainians if it isn't hosted on Yandex.

Wow, you guys aren't dead! Well I'm looking forward to playing your mod as it's been way too long since I've enjoyed a proper TC mod that added new story elements.

I just downloaded the mod today and I have to say this is probably one of the best mods I have played. I can’t believe how detailed the mod is so far and cool the level design is. I also love the fact that there are so many secrets and extra rooms to explore.

chapter 1 not open not working cannot open bat file dp_chapter 1 gamedata/ base copy paste but not jasp not open
Check, that you've got openjk installed first. In GameData all DP files must be in "DP_Chapter1" folder, not "DPChapter1".
I think the English subtitles are broken. The English subtitles don't show up, but the russian ones do. I was looking through the strings folder, and some files just don't have english subtitles at all. Is this a bug on my end, or a known issue?
It seems there was a conflict between languages. I've updated the whole PK3,
but just in case there is a separate version for English subtitles as well here: Yadi.sk

I had a look through these english subtitles, and a lot of them seem like "pigeon english" and don't make a whole lot of sense. Perhaps you would like to have a look at the English subtitles that I made today? Wherever I didn't have english subtitles, I translated the Russian, and French versions into english, then combined the two, and tried to make it sound as natural as possible in english.
Game keeps crashing during first cinematic. Is this a known issue?
This is the first time the game would crash on cinematics. Does this happen AFTER the Text Crawl?JA engine uses ROQ files, but perhaps skipping the cutscene could help.
