The Citizen is set parallel to the events of the original Half-Life 2. The player takes the role of an ordinary man, pushed over the edge by the oppressive regime controlling his life. His home trashed, his family dead, The Citizen leaves his apartment for the last time. He seeks new friends, and a way to help the human resistance to smash the iron grip of the Combine. What follows is a winding tale of betrayal, determination and grief. Many obstacles lie in his path which require a sleek combination of agility, stealth, intelligence, and sheer violence to overcome

For a free mod I wasn't really expecting much, but I was blown away by a proper campaign with an actual story!
I liked most of this mod, some parts did feel a little bit out of place or poor, but for the most part it was an enjoyable ride and it ate up 3 hours of my time so I can't really complain!
However the voice acting was poor and didn't do the best job at keeping me engaged, but I did stick with it. The G-Man felt out of place and it was surprising to see him in the game.
Overall: 8/10. Good mod, held back because of poor voice acting, but overall it was enjoyable.
EDIT: I played this on a 2014 machine running Windows 10, from what I've been reading it seems like you think it is unplayable, but I managed it by using the 2010 patch and I didn't have any problems whatsoever!
