Age of War will bring Bannerlord to 511 AD. King Clovis has just died on the 7th of the Kalends of December, leaving his kingdom splintered between warring factions. To the South, the young Gothic king is under the tutelage of Theodoric the Great, but will this last, with the looming threat of his neighbours and the defiance of the Suebi and Vascones? In Africa, the Mauro-Roman kingdoms unite under Masuna, at war against the Vandals with the help of the Aurès (King Masties). In the East, the Byzantine Empire is harried on all sides by all manners of Barbarian kingdoms.
Who will prevail? History is not yet written...

Are the planned factions the only ones that will see development at all or the ones that will be included in the initial release? Because I would love to play one of the smaller factions and try to topple the bigger empires

Are Slavs going to be a faction?
I hope they will be there, also good luck with the mod man, i am very much looking forward to it, i actually requested a mod like this to be made on the forums some time back, a sort of a Total War Attila setting for Bannerlord.
Yeah, definitely Slavs, though with made-up leaders since we have no sources naming any leaders

It's just a name, and I'm probably sticking with Byzantium. Else where do you stop? "Summerleen" instead of Finland, Hayastan Hanrapetut'yun and not Armenia, Frankesrik and not Frankia or Kingdom of the Franks?
