ReMakeQuake is about reinventing the classic game, including all content (levels, enemies, sounds, game code, engine, weapons, players, storyline) with a level of polish and attention to detail this great game deserves. It's been in production a few years now, and will finish in many years time. We periodically release demos so keep an eye on Gb's blog for new updates. This isn't a mod about making Quake look more modern, at least yet. It's about keeping the lightning fast brutal game play that has been lost somewhere along the way in stodgy modern FPS. Also, we already have a lot of the resources you'll be interested in seeing, just not in a ModDb friendly format. Check the blog for playable demo downloads and more screenshots.

A new Qexpo is on the way, to celebrate Quake one's birthday on June 22 - it'll be a venerable 15 years old. Not many games that old are still be modded, but it just plays better. We're working on a special SP demo for this one, that should be pretty big. We'll be uploading to the Qxpo website and here when its ready.

Here's where you can find the QExpo website:

So, what's new in RMQ this time around?
Inkub, newest team member, has been working hirez textures - you can see some of them in the screenshot. Safe to say, everything is looking pretty slick now.
The Vomitus enemy is roaming the corridors, digesting corpses and barfing out brand new zombies, thanks to Supa.
The laser blaster can be used to mow down the hordes of Shub, also thanks to Supa with some donky work done by me.
Those hordes are roaming much better now thanks to Lardarse.

Gb has some fauna to decorate the netherdimensions with: Kneedeepinthedoomed.files.wordpress.com
Rj, Gb, RickyT23 and myself have all been mapping away.

Mh has been doing his usual Important engine changes that allow us to get things done without staring at compile screens or fighting with flickering models in game. IQM is being looked at as well.

Huh, so not archived, my mistake.

In any case, we've hit a technical limitation and are delaying to fix it, sorry guys.

Expect the demo in a couple of weeks more.

The glitch is a bit stupid, but still fairly major - and we want to fix it properly so have decided to delay.

I'll post some new monster pix to tide you over though.
