Tactical Realism mod is a total-changer mod that aims to give the player a true challenge inside the Zone. Act like a real SBU soldier. Take decisions. Manage a group. Fight for your objectives. Annilihate your enemies with your tactics. Degtyarev is voiced by nadanesca, James Grimes!
...even the most disciplined warrior breaks down when his gun leaves him to his destiny...
The feature I want to implement is kinda particular: there will be a 15% of probability for every time the weapon jams/reload that the Player will... insult it.
This because IMO will bring the Player nearer the "actor" ingame, giving some "adrenalinic" shots when something unfortunate happens.
Obviously this will be optional, because I'm sure that not everyone will feel this as I feel it.
I like the idea but I think the voice is bit too calm, there should be more dramatism. Red Orchestra 2 had good voiceover for "nervous breakdown", especially when under artillery fire.
Needs more emotion.
To be honest... Sounds really bland
Cool idea man, like it a lot, always felt I'm playing just another game when there are no sound effects, this will surely improve the experience, I'm sure you'll update it, the three above comments explains exactly what's needed.
Here is a possible idea for you, what about when the actor sees a bunch of bandits in the horizon ? or just in front of him ? and when getting shot at ?
Sounds are getting reworked. In 2 weeks from now you should see the results.
I think that it's ok to use "actor's" voice, but I also think that its overuse will ruin the gameplay.
Certainly the actor will speak in more than a occasion, but...
Also, we're trying to immedesimate in the "actor". A trained SBU agent... I just don't think he would speak to himself everytime something happens. Again, there will be a lot of occasions in which the Major will "think loudly", or simply speak.
What a load of old dog sh1te lol!
I've hoped for hoped for this one. Youtube.com
