That's fine, honest - it doesn't need improving - i.m.o just get on with making sure your core Gameplay is solid.. and try to release Alpha Versions to the modding community as soon as possible for quick feedback; otherwise we'll all be here for seven years waiting and waiting ala Black Mesa Source Syndrome. I agree it sounds mysterious with abit of Resident Evil movie in it.
Not horrorific exactly, but as said mysterious.
The song is good, but not "horror" like, you need to improve it if you want it to be scary.
