Stronghold Conquest is a new and relative small Singleplayer-mod-project for M&B: Warband that puts its focus on the scening aspect of the game. The mod will try to give you the best possible experience with tons of unique towns and castles for you to visit! Behind the focus on scenes are 6 new unique factions, a new campaign map and various other gameplay features that should give you the ultimate experience.
Here is a WIP preview of re-worked Yemorian troops, left is your Yemori elite crossbowman and right is your Yemori standard swordman!

What is you inspiration for them ?
Look like late-Byzantium soldiers
I honestly don't really have a particular inspiration, I search through the resources that I have at my disposal and try out combinations ending up with what in my eyes looks best.
Suggestions are welcome though!
imo i think you should switch that crossbowman armor with something less fancy like a gambeson or plain chainmail. It's just my opinion so take it as that, but that red overcomplicated leather thingy doesn't really seem pleasing to look at. Same thing with the swordsman armor, that fur patch on top of it just ruins it, imho. Again, it's my opinion as an historical armor\weapons buff. (I know the mod's supposed to be fantasy though, but i think sticking with some simpler historical stuff can bu very appealing and immersive even in a fantasy mod :D ). Another suggestion might be to arm the infantrymen with both sword and spear (one handed swords were always a secondary weapon since they suck at dealing even with medium armor like a gambeson), instead of making separate classes of swordsmen and spearman. Of course then spears would need a buff in damage since in most mods they're just plain garbage. Sorry for this being too long to read, but that is just what i think would make your mod really great and would pair up really good with the great castle scenes you have here :D
Of course take this as a humble suggestion and feel free to discard it if it doesn't align with your idea about the mod ;)
EDIT: btw it would make more sense for infantry to have enclosed helmets, and for crossbows open helmets to have a better view
I see merit to your suggestions, although various other factions already have it the way you suggest and are really based on medieval equipment - lay-out.
This faction however, is more fantasy based compared to the others. That's also displayed by it's scenes. So I'm more keen on taking a different approach here.
Regarding the weapons, good point. I'll consider that! Also about the helmets you make a good point.
Thanks for the suggestions!
no problem man I'm happy that you appreciate and take into consideration people's feedback, I'm looking forward to this mod :D
