FRED was featured on Original Stargate film and in pilot episode of Stargate SG-1, Children of the gods. In the mod, FRED is similiar to Pioner of original game; outpost- and watchtowerbuilder, structure repairer, roadbuilder, but also can provide little cover to ground troops in a battle.
