Stargate: War Begins is a full conversion for the awesome tactical fleet simulator Nexus: The Jupiter Incident. We intend to recreate the feeling of the hit Sci-fi Tv shows Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe. Our goals are to implement all of the ships seen in the series, and the original Stargate movie, and to release a full single player campaign, with configurable ships, and all the oppurtunities Nexus can provide.

Shouldn't it have railguns?

the x303 has point defence railguns e.g. anti fighter.
the missiles are the most effective so theyve been given priority

Dentystek Oct 10 2010 replied:

I mean the railguns as a primary/secondary heavy weapon for all round use. Like in Daedalus at first. "The Prometheus is armed with four railguns, a close-in weapons system, and 16 missile batteries."

we've decided not to stay too close to cannon in this mod. Remember that the space aspect of Stargate was a secondary part of the series, so it was never given a great deal of attention, so sticking up to it seems rather foolish. Have you ever seen a chapter where railguns were actually useful at something other than mowing down fighters?

I know it's Daedalus but the railgun idea is the same as it was in Prometheus. I just think that it is illogical to equip a battleship only with missles because after firing all the rockets it's useless.
Anyway will there be an ability to fire all the missles at once? And will the warheads be more effective? Will they cause more damage?

Special command which will cause an overload of a ship core ending with huge nuclear blast. You can see Bc-304 carrying out this command on background.
