Expanding Fronts is a massive modification for Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds aimed to breathe life back into the classic LucasArts strategy game by adding various new units, features, and gameplay elements. Each of the 8 civilizations are being reworked and enhanced to make each feel more unique and authentic to the universe, while maintaining the classic Battlegrounds gameplay. In addition, the Scenario Editor is being filled with hundreds of new units, buildings, effects, triggers, and objects to allow campaign and scenario designers more freedom than ever before.
This patch should address the issues that many players have been having with launching Expanding Fronts. In addition, several minor in-game issues have been fixed. To install, run EF_Patch_1.0.1.exe and point it towards your mod installation directory. Note that the full 1.0 version must be installed BEFORE the patch.
There any way to get widescreen working with EF?

4 out of 55 detections on VirusTotal (by software I've never heard of before). I suspect this is the installer's fault, so I've extracted the executable using 7zip and am subjecting its contents to further analysis.
So far, the theory appears to be correct.

I didn't look into the data files, but from the looks of it, there are two possible causes:
1. The installer is not as benign as you guys would have us believe, but the files it puts in your GB folder are.
2. The detections are all paranoid false positives. :P
Probably false positives. Especially if the results are generic ____. With McAfee, if I see anything named generic trojan or generic artemis, 99% chance its a false positive. I had items that came on my computer give me false positives.
I mean, they did make a manual installation set up too.

I apologize if Im wrong but shouldnt the Trade Federation and Confederacy transport mechs models be switched? The Platoon Attack Craft is what the TF used in episode 1 and its model is on the Confederacys transport mech. Obviously nothing big was just wondering
Both are Trade Federation units that were also used by the Confederacy (the Platoon Attack Craft was also seen at the Battle of Kashyyyk in Episode III). It could go either way, but the MUT matches much better with the Trade Federation graphic set than it would with the Confederacy one.
Ahh, yea I saw they were at the Battle of Kashyyyk so it makes sense, they are that brown color scheme for the TF and the Platoon Attack Craft could carry Supers anyways. :D
am I the only one that sees the new rebel alliance upgrade not working?

Yeah, that's not functional yet. It's disabled in the Hotfix, but you can still get to it with All Techs active.
awww i wanted to use a mass air force to blow up my enemies....
course I'd have to pull them back to regen.
My game crashes at random intervals while using this mod. It only seems to occur when playing a custom scenario and at random times. Any ideas?

Dont know if your aware but it doesnt seem to work with the steam version. They just released on steam last week and its understandable that this hasn't had a patch for that version. Anyone else get the same problems?

Whenever I try to run the game it says that it could not initialize the graphics system. The original game ran just fine, but the mod will not run. If anyone knows how to fix this it would be much appreciated.

When I try to play games it informs me of an AI script error and the AI player just walks around with a worker not making progress. Does anyone know how I can fix this?
I had the same problem, I had to uninstall and validate game files to fix the issues.
I'm not sure how I construct the added mechanicals or deploy the new infantry units. Can someone explain to me how it's done? When I am playing a standard game I cannot see the option to build them.

After manually installing the main DL and this patch, for some reason the AI seems to be dead, it will just send its villagers out to scout instead of building, although, this may be a result of me putting the game on tech level 4 and deathmatch to quickly get a look at the new faction on the fly

Its finally launching the correct one but it now says "could not initialize graphics system. Make sure that your video card and driver are compatible with DirectDraw" what does this mean and how do I fix it?
Ive come across a problem... the games addons crash the game when I try to pick them in the editor. i have the steam version
