Star Wars Eras is a mod that aims to bring an authentic Star Wars experience to Forces of Corruption. When complete it will cover the periods from the Clone Wars through to the Vong invasion. All craft, vehicles and personnel will be kept as close to canon as possible and new campaigns will follow the story of the Star Wars universe.

I like this t-wing model, are you planning to release more free-release models?

Yeah, any models that I make (that I think are good enough) will go up.

I strongly suggest listening to others who have indicated their concerns with the poly counts of these models your producing. This one (at 31961) is ridiculous for its poly count, especially when this has been released for an RTS game which by rights does not rely on pretty looking models. Even the likes of Bridge Commander (which is a 3rd person space combat simulation) might struggle a bit with this. Added to this the simple fact that the level 5 imperial station isn't much higher that 30k and thats a single station.

Secondly, when you make a pre-game converted model I would also suggest you add the support files and a readme. Its a bit much for an inexperienced modder to attempt to add this to their game with not even a single byte of information as to what bones your using for firing points (and yes. i do know how to add ships, before you say anything).

So whilst the modelling of the ship looks very clean and the textures are well presented I would steer clear from this and any further releases until this modeller gets their act together.

Now I know this sounds seriously nasty but sometimes the hard truth is necessary.

Yeah the poly count is too high and as I said in the comments of the release I just didn't have time to put in the various XMLs etc. As you can see from the mod progress is slow enough as I have a lot of other things on the go. But it's fairly common for models to be released without all the XMLs anyway.

As I said in the release that was my first model. There are of course going to be issues that need to be ironed out. I've no problem taking constructive criticism on board, but telling people to steer clear until I get my act together is not the way to go about it. There's no reason why you couldn't have said what you said without the dig.

It was no dig, trust me. However, I will ask one thing. Why use such high poly models? Having been both modeller and modder for going on 15 years now I do know a thing or two about RTS based games. Perhaps you might want to readup alot more before embarking on a large scale project.

kinda looks like a cross of an E-wing, an X-wing, and an old Viper from the original BSG. thats not a bad thing
