Greetings, everyone! It's no longer just a rumor: SWBF: First Strike is set to officially release on March 15th! That's right, in just three weeks, the mod will finally be out, and I couldn't be more excited. This project has been a long time in the making, and it's both my first and last mod. So, this is a special moment for me, and I hope you'll join me in celebrating it.
But enough about me. Let's talk about what matters: the new features. As promised, I've got a brand new render to show off, and I think you'll be impressed. But before I do that, I want to thank everyone who has supported me along the way. Your encouragement has been invaluable, and I couldn't have done it without you.
Now, without further ado, here's the latest sneak peek at SWBF: First Strike.
You're in for a treat with the graphical improvements I've made to the units in SWBF: First Strike. We've put a lot of effort into making them look better than ever before. But that's not all. I've also added a new unit to the game that I'm sure many of you will recognize:
While I'm excited to show you the graphical improvements I've made to the units in SWBF: First Strike, there's even more in the works. We're currently working on a brand new map that I can't quite reveal yet, but rest assured it's going to be great.
I've also been hard at work on improving the gameplay and balance of the mod. This might not be as flashy as new graphics, but I believe it's just as important. I'm dedicated to making sure that SWBF: First Strike is the best it can be, and I'm putting in a lot of effort to make that happen.
Unfortunately, I don't have any footage to share with you just yet. But don't worry, I'll be releasing a gameplay trailer soon, but I do have some in-game music to share:
That's it for now thank you to all who have stuck around!

Dec. 22nd I am releasing a Discord Exclusive First Strike Release! More info below!
STAR WARS: Battlefront: First Strike has finally released! As of now its only an Era mod, but more is to come!
Hi. I read the readme folder and installed as directed. However no sides for first strike have showed up for me. The only thing I’ve seen in the game with “first strike” is that buggy map that crashes instantly. Not sure what I did wrong here as I’ve downloaded the required files in the readme, I just have dark times, post Endor conflict, and Dann Boeings mods installed.
It's hard for me to trouble shoot you through ModDB, your best bet is to make sure you have the v1.3 Patch/r1.5 Remaster and Shaderpatch installed
Otherwise feel free to join the discord here if you need further assistance: Discord.com
The models are AMAZING, really nice work here. There are few things i want to report:
- The "sand" texture doesn't match on some maps and i would change it with something else
- Some award weapons are missing.
- HUD issues on Mustafar.
- Rebels' tanks on Kashyyyk and Felucia are totally white.
- The custom map (that i can't read the name because it's code-named) crashes.
- Felucia doesn't work?
- There is a weird light on some units on Coruscant.
- The health bar new position is not a bug but it's very confusing to be up there and i thought it was a HUD issue.
Hi, thank you for the compliment
As for what you've reported, most of it is known, however I did not know that felucia was entirely broken but i might be able to release a patch for that.
-The weird lighting on coruscant is either just the way the map is lit or something i havnt seen
-I never got the chance to mess with award weapons much
-HUD Issues on mustafar is again a mistake I missed during the small testing phase i had
-Rebels tanks are again an error i forgot to fix
-The health bar is there because the HUD is based on SW: First Assault (where the models originate as well) but it will be more clear in the next release where everything is
I appreciate you've taken the time to write this comment, even though it is mostly reporting my mistakes. I knew about most of those issues (except felucia, I will be looking into this) but I didnt have the chance to fix them due to time constraints
Hi, thank you for replying. Love the mod and i can't wait for a future update, sorry if the things i said were something you already knew. About the "sand" texture i probably meant for Empire and not weird sand ground texture on maps, i should have described better. Keep up the good work man.
You don't gotta apologize for reporting errors, it's good to post that because there's no way of knowing how much of it I was aware (for instance I didnt know felucia was completely broken)
If you are referring to the "sand" on the stormtroopers, it's meant to be general dirt and grime from the various combat deployments stormtroopers go on and overall build up over time. The game i got them from (SW:First Assault) had the same Art Director as SW: Republic Commando so it shares the gritty artstyle. If you prefer a clean look of them the released build *does* feature a clean skin in the Fake Console but its only for the regular assault class, and i think it also may only work on a couple maps but im not positive (again an untested feature of the mod)
Yeah i meant that. I usually don't use Fake Console because i prefer to see what the modder did on all the available maps (unless Fake Console is part of the mod itself).
