The transports were used by the New Republic & Resistance in its conflict against the Imperial Remnants. Their use was to deploy personnel, saboteurs & technicians to combat zones. With a set of heavy turbo lasers & proton torpedoes it can protect itself well against a number of ships. It effectively replaces the aging U-Wing gunship while retaining its supportive function.
