Reviews - Star Wars: A New Frontier mod for Star Wars Battlefront II

This mod includes new high quality custom models, effects, vehicles, classes and sounds. It has a Galactic Conquest mode and it's compatible with many user made maps.
Everything I mentioned is included with version 1.0 so that's a lot of content for a first release. I'm sure this mod will be even greater in the near future.

The best era mod I have ever played that's for sure. Character designs are top notch and the attention to detail is staggering. Only thing I would say needs added at some point is custom voice acting.

Very high quality sound design and models. There is a lot of attention to details, and with the amount of content available it will take just as long to go through everything as it would to play through the base game.

If that wasn't enough the Dev Team have added support for other user made maps. There are a few rough edges like weapons glitches caused by awards and some graphical errors. But these are small easily forgiven issues that hopefully will be fixed in future patches.

Top Tier mods for Sequel lovers and haters (Unless you sticking to your hate and letting it flow through you :P) a lot of great looking models which especially to Heros Kylo Rey Snoke Luke all amazing choices of ports they look very much alike to there actors gameplay is fun but (so I hear) can be a tad challenging I like the addition of Voice Overs when characters interact to each other breaths life into HA game mode Iconic lines (Or not so iconic) "YOUR A MONSTER" the sounds are great for the guns and FX (Though I wish some ST Soundtracks were included to add a bit more atmosphere) very great mod and I hope to see more content soon (Especially Rose Tico so I can shoot all those First Order troopers and show everyone whos the real hero)

This mod adds a variety of new features that just make the new sides remarkable. Excellent balancing, excellent models, custom sounds, and custom galactic conquest are just a couple things that makes this project stand out among the large batch of mods that clutter this website. Really gives me those good ole feels of when I was a little youngin' playing this game on my PS2. My point is that this mod is just fantastic, I always come back to this mod just for casual play because it is miles above other common projects. Tons of effort and care was put into it and it really shows. Personal favorite mod in my collection and I think everyone should give it a try if they haven't already.

I always like new eras but I also want to improve the graphics of my BF2 game and this mod does that perfectly!
The new Disney era is so dull and boring but this mod is fun and amazing.

I’m the first to review yay! This mod does not feel like the others. I feel like other mods make every single weapon overpowered. I felt this was so much more balance and fun than those other mods. I always hated get killed by a mini gun in like 5 seconds with other mods. The damage is just to much in some of them and it makes gameplay boring fast. This mod is enjoyable on a bunch of factors. It’s balanced, and the use of fake console to choose your skins is so great. I haven’t even gotten through them all yet. Not to even mention this adds ST content in to this amazing game! I believe that this is one of the better mods even if cal says otherwise : P. I love this and I can’t wait for rebels and even their next project after that if they do other projects that is. I just want to say if there is anything I can do, like test ;p then I’m happy to do it. Your devotion to modding really shows in your work and you listen to the community unlike so modders for other games. So Your probably one of the best modders to join this community. So if anyone stayed till this part I want you to smash the download button until there 30k downloads! ;)

1.1 Review
K. After a few minutes of testing I am really enjoying it! I always hated playing the resistance before because I could win sometimes by most of the time I would always lose. Now the resistance is actually really fun to play. So with balancing checked off I’ll get into the content. The new hud is great and Is really enjoyable, the snowtrooper my god are amazing and with the bug fixed when using jump attacks it makes me want to play Phasma and Finn. Jakku just looks spectacular and is a great change from the original map. One question about Kylo Ren though, why does his boots, helmet, and arms have a silverish color on the front. I have all my settings at the highest they can go so I don’t think it would be that. Great job!

This mod is amazing, keep it up

Excellent quality models and effects, with some new mechanics (i.e. new abilities, unit types, weapons, and at least one map as of the 1.1 release with ground-to-air fighting) that make the mod feel like an improved version of the Battlefront 2 gameplay. The mod really did justice to the sequel era, bringing it to BF 2 with a high level of fidelity and polish - very much worth the download!
