Hellow fellow stalkers, hereby i show you how i make my "art" ;)

Here i will explain with easy to understand pictures and text how i make my oh-so-special particles. It is actually a piece of cake, the only thing bothering me is that i have to do it on my old pc, with windows xp. But that's almost over :) as it runs on this pc too, but i have a problem. Sometimes i forget to "make a new version" so the old one stays here and i make some new particles on my old pc, import it in stalker and then make with the old file new particles on the old file :s that way i mess up the particles, but that's not a big deal as i can easily recreate them...

First, i have to load my workspace:

(ignore the music)

Then i choose the particle i want to modify, or i want to create and import a static object that will be a reference for how big the particle will be:

(F.E. i take the crane)

With the crane, i can create scaled particles:


Now, we can choose a particle we want to edit (after moving the axis, as the object interferes with the path of the particles because they bounce of)


Lets choose this newly created blood particle, and see how big it is when the crane is next to it:


Reasonable, now we are going to do some other things. Lets see if the particles of these explosions bounce on the ground:



No. Well after i put on the destroy_on_contact button on true, it saved memory, particles and power because they are now destroyed when coming in contact with object, dynamic or static!

And here is an extra pic or two for modders ;) you too {imperialreign} i think you will like this:



As you can see i made some snow particles, for snow mods. They almost eat no memory and are really pretty. You can spawn an anomaly with this idle particle and you have snow! For over 300 to 1000 meters! only 3800 particles with 2 options, Fat snow (renders more snow) and slight snow(renders only to 100/150 meters in game snow) and if you put some nice fog in the game, put the view_distance on low, it looks perfect!

And for the amk update, i almost done with the AMK-Patch:
