help me during the installation pls! post the installation procedure,the game starts but crashes at the beginnibg with this
XR_3DA.exe caused BREAKPOINT in module "C:\giochi\THQ\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. -
Shadow of Chernobyl\bin\xrCore.dll" at 001B:01867CB5,
xrDebug::backend()+165 byte(s)
so?

Alright guys, this is how you install OL2010 Mod for STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl with WorldWide OR US 1.0005 patch.

1. Go to your stalker directory and delete (or rename) a folder named "Gamedata" (if you have one)
2. Go to the "Bin" folder and create a folder there named "Backup"
3. Copy the files "eax.dll", "xrGame.dll", "wrap_oal.dll" and "XR_3DA.exe" to the "Backup" folder.
4. Copy the OL2010 "Bin" and "Gamedata" folders to you STALKER directory.
5. If it asks to overwrite some files ONLY on the "Bin" folder, your doing it right =)
6. Edit the "fsgame.ltx" file in you STALKER directory, change the following line into this: $game_data$ = true| true| $fs_root$| gamedata\
7. Go to "Gamedata/Shaders/z-#user-ltx.module#/#4_argus# " and copy the "user.ltx" file into "Documents/STALKER-SHOC" folder (If on windows Vista or 7, that folder is located on the Public Documents)
8. Run the game.

OPTIONALS:
1. On you STALKER shortcut, go to Properties and add these on the Target line: -noprefetch -nocpubinding (these help the game run smoother)
2. Download this STALKER exacutable that is edited so it can use more than 2Gbs of RAM and it doesn't need the DVD to run the game: Sites.google.com (credits to the maker: Kingo) and copy it over the "XR_3DA.exe" in the "Bin" folder.

don't works for me,always asks me for the cd-rom.The game is legal copy.What should i do?

Download and replace your XR_3DA with this one: Sites.google.com

You don't have to use those, but the correct way to use it is (exe target line)*space*-noprefetch*space*-nocpubinding

Us patch? i'm using italian patch,could this cause the errors?

mini netshow stalker poseden
what files are that?

yes useing the italian patch is the problem

tomorrow i'll reinstall the game if is necessary,do i have to cnacel ALL FILES (stalker SHOC folder)

Remeber that OL10 works better with english language. It was NOT tested with italian game and updates. About these files, they are the mini-image that you can mount and use (to preserve your original DVD copy from deteriorate) with Daemon Tools Lite.

Unfortunatly, I'm not sure I can help you, since the only 2 games I have on steam are Team Fortress 2 and L4D2...
I have no experience in modding STEAM games.
Did you follow my instructions? Did you install it like OL2009?

lonefox, ear me.Now i gonna try for the last time,i'll reinstall the game(previously i will delete STALKER SHOC FOLDER) using english language,i install worldwide patch 1.005 and i install the mod.It's all ok?

i've downloaded the files from adrive,and 7zip says that some of them are not rightly compressed,it precisely say that they might be breaked or some.Happens to anyone?

Yes, you should open those files with this: Winx-soft.com
That should extract them correctly.

After you extract the mod, just do what I wrote on the installation guide and apply the .exe file from that other site and it should all work out =)

I need a error report, but what I've seen from the one you send me, there is no description.
The mod is properly installled, but I can't figure out whats happening. The only thing you can do is send me you savegame, to see if the same thing happens with me.

Im in the same boat as giontravolta , I cant seem to get the game working no matter what.. I've tried everything. Please make a user friendly steam compatible version/install process as soon as you can.
