Hi

You all must know the senario, in the middle of a fire fight your finger brushes the mouse wheel and you find yourself switching weapons just when you really don't want to!

I've searched around for a solution to disable the weapon selection function using the mouse wheel but to no avail.

Does anyone know of a solution or is it a "feature" we're stuck with?
Could it be disabled by using a script?

I can't be the only one with this problem... ;-)

Just a dead end, but I wanted to say I tried the MCM Key Wrapper addon. It claims that when you bind keys in there, the event will not happen unless you press that key. But it still used the mousewheel as well.

Hi

Thanks for the reply!

I had a look at that recently but couldn't see any reference to the mouse wheel either.

In the interim I'm going to try Plan B: "Operation Find a Mouse WITHOUT a Goddam Mouse Wheel!"

you can use a bit of adhesive tape on da wheel, a very zone solution, I guess...

In settings go to "modded exes" and there will be an option named "mouse wheel to switch weapon" and it is set to "on" by default. Switch this to OFF and the mouse wheel will no longer switch your weapons
