Warfare Dominance Squads 1.0 addon - S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat

What does this addon do?

Depending on the way you’ve set up your game and the mods you are using, it helps populate the maps with the factions of your choosing with a random outcome. The script unaltered, it adds two squads a day to the selected maps that take over one or two locations depending on if it spawns on an their faction owned location. You can add multiple factions to a map to see who dominates it by the time you get there.

I’ve tested this on the vanilla game with x1 stalker population (475) Stalkers and .75 mutant pop and does not need a new game.

The script goes through the factions and chooses a location owned by one the selected faction, or a neutral location on each selected map. If a neutral location is randomly selected, it will drop off a random sized squad, based on their current faction strength to protect the location while the dominance squad runs to an enemy or neutral target to secure it. They do not leave the map they spawn on and can be killed right away if they spawn on hostiles, not showing up on your PDA. Defence squads may show up on your PDA if they are big enough and attack squads will. You can order them using your PDA.

Warfare is fun on its own, but this adds a custom aspect to your game.

What can you change using a text editor such as Notepad ++?

In warfare_dominance_squads_locations

Game options:

The script will not spawn the factions that you chose not to participate in warfare or Zombies if they are not selected as a faction.

The addon spawns are considered random spawns and will be changed by the game options in - the zone – warfare – selected faction: random squad count.

What will stop it from spawning?

Dead factions will not spawn.

If the map no longer has neutral or enemy target locations, or no longer has neutral or friendly drop off locations meaning, the faction is off the map or the faction and friends have control of the map. Problems you may encounter:

I split the factions up to spawn one every 2 game minutes. If you go crazy and spawn too many all at once you can crash the game. You may get a runtime error.

I made it so Renegades will not spawn because they give a random- global_position.script:75: attempt to index local 'offset' (a nil value) error and I don’t know how to fix that. It’s in the game itself and I don’t want to mess with that, but they are still set up in the script, just blocked.

Bandit : Darkvalley, Jupiter and Trucks Cemetery

Freedom : Military and Trucks Cemetery

Duty : Rostok and Garbage

Clear Sky : Marsh and Darkscape

Isg : Jupiter and Outskirts

Military : Agroprom and Marsh

Mercenaries : Deadcity and Outskirts

Ecology : Yantar and Garbage

Monolith : Radar

Sin : Red Forest

Zombies : Outskirts, Trucks Cemetery, Zaton and Garbage

In the Zombie Ah-poops-alypse Scenario, Zombies are also added to Dead City, Military, Jupiter and Marsh making eight maps for Zombie spawn. You can also add the same map back to back to double the spawn.
