Squad Level Tactics is a mission for Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising that focuses primarily on the players ability to command a squad of AI soldiers through a gauntlet of hostile PLA forces in an attempt to complete a series of dynamic mission objectives. This mission offers a completely dynamic tactical gaming experience. With random weather, time of day, infantry and vehicle spawning, objective placement and the complete use of the island of Skirinka in addition to the entire island of Skira, anyone will be able to play this mission with virtually unlimited outcomes.

Coheed VI wrote this little piece about SLT Endgame on the Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising forums over at the CM website, I thought I'd share it.

Yea, tvig went completely bananas... then went bananas 8 more times. Its got it all.

I don't even know where to start with how awesome this mission is, it's a completely hostile fully occupied island, where you must have a plan or you die. To do that in a complete free roaming mission with no smoke and mirrors is what makes this completely original to Dragon Rising.

Anyone that tries this mission, will have a hard time until they start to use all the assets available with a plan. This is whats different than other SLT's, you have a massive amount of tools and must use them. (All weapons, all vehicles, air strikes, artillery, bases, build mortars, build FOP, ground reinforcements, air reinforcements, Close Air Support, satellite uplink, and AI that actually use their weapons) (all mortars teams communicate with their friendly forces, so getting spotted while in range of mortars is deadly, but this can be used to your advantage aswell)

There's a bit of a learning curve there (with learning to use all tools), but i hope most stick with it, and push the boundaries with what you have ever done in Dragon Rising before. The nice part is that while being very hard you can make progress even if it's just taking out a mortar or a SAM. Also taking small locations first to gain intel and build support is very helpful.

Nice job tvig, it's hard to believe this is done with a 64 entity limit the spawning system is hands down the best yet to be created...
