New Compass - Bugged Thread - S.M.R.T.E.R. Pripyat mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat

I installed the New Compass v1 and when in game it doesn't show up correctly, I installed it on the HUD that comes with S.M.R.T.E.R v0.41. It acts like the "Sound Detection" bar is still there, the more sound I make the more of the compass it shows. Any way I can fix this?

My Installation process:
1. Install STALKER CoP
2. Install v0.41
3. Install Options Pack (Fixes and Compass)
4. Install v0.41 Weapon Addon pack
a. Also tried vice versa
5. Play Game

the compass has it's own fix: Uploaded.to

you might still have to edit the zone_map.xml
manually because each resolution requires a different setting (and the
compass was made for 1920x1200 res)

change

<compass x="0.000" y="0.595" width="16" height="256" heading="1" alignment="c">

for 4:3 resolutions to read:

<compass x="0.090" y="0.595" width="16" height="256" heading="1" alignment="c">

and for 16:9 resolutions to read:

<compass x="-0.045" y="0.595" width="16" height="256" heading="1" alignment="c">

in any case some fine tuning of the 'x' value might be required.

Could you reupload the fix to a different host. the site is blocked from US users. I play my game with the res of 1440x900, do you think you could give me the line of code that would fit the resolution.

Rapidshare.com rapidshare still works in the US right? I'll have a look at the proper configs for your resolution when I get home from work (in about 7 hours).

apparently 1440x900 resolution works the same way as 1920x1200, so you don't need to adjust anything, just apply the fix and you're good to go.

where is the zone_map.xml? im running it on 1024 resolution i think. And i have a gray line under my compass.

it's in gamedata\configs\ui\
post a screen of the grey line please.

Hah, nvm i set the resolution to 1440x900 cause you said the compass works on it like on 1920x1200 thanks

It works on all resolutions, it just has to be set up differently for different aspect ratios.

Ya, i just meant that changing the resolution fixed the grey line issue (although i had that line in blue color before installing the compass gamedata).
