Called one of the best games of all time, System Shock 2 completely blew away all concepts of what a makes a good video game. That was 1999 and SS2, while no longer "cutting edge," still has many features that have to this day not been passed. SHOCK SOURCE is a Half Life 2 mod based on the Looking Glass/Irrational game System Shock 2. This mod will extensively redesign and rebuild all the elements on SS2, including a more intuitive user interface, redesigned weapons and usable items, and more life-like and livable Von Braun (and of course, UNN Rickenbacker). Shock Source will utilize the Valve's Source Engine to bring to life the most immersive world imaginable. Nothing will be left unanswered, and nothing will be without consequence. For example, where does all the garbage go? Do you loose any skills when you get into a fight with a Psi Reaver? What happens if you destroy the Von Braun's main power source? These things and more will all be answered in Shock Source.
