Shattered Paradise is an expansion for Tiberian Sun on OpenRA, its goal is to (im)balance the game by adding new factions (Mutants, C.A.B.A.L. and Scrin) and reworking the original sides, all of this to create a game a little more varied and balanced than TS. The mod puts a lot of emphasis on making the factions as asymmetric as possible.

That is very well-designed. I imagine it took quite some time.

Description

We haven't posted updates around here for a while, but since we released playtest-20220419 today (links on the main page are updated when there is a new version, even tho we don't post any news), decided to post about something i've been working on that is introduced in this version, the selected units UI. It is not complete yet, but it was servicable enough for a playest.

It shows Health, Armor and Sight for all actors, Speed for units, Power output/usage for buildings, Damage, Range and Reload Delay for armed units, Damage and Spread for self-destruct units, Mind Control for Subjugator/Mastermind, Worth of Tiberium in Harvesters, Cargo for transport units and tunnel networks and drones in Service Depots, Drone Hosts and Assault Carriers. Veterancy is shown on the cameo. Clicking on the cameo centers the camera on the actor.

If multiple units are selected, currently it only shows cameos, healthbar and health for up to 3 units. When i'm done with the logic, more than 3 will make the cameos smaller, without the text for health to fit more there and if whatever i can get to fit there in smaller size is passed too, it'll show "+X" for the amount of other units.

The screen can be closed using the arrow on top-left of it.
