Shattered Paradise is an expansion for Tiberian Sun on OpenRA, its goal is to (im)balance the game by adding new factions (Mutants, C.A.B.A.L. and Scrin) and reworking the original sides, all of this to create a game a little more varied and balanced than TS. The mod puts a lot of emphasis on making the factions as asymmetric as possible.
An aplication of Graion Dilach's Spawn Actor warhead trait, it allows to create gas clouds once again. Due to the method I used to make it deal damage while not targetting units, it can't be a 1:1 clone of the original, that's why the clouds are way faster.
So, do the clouds only spawn if the missiles hit nothing? I think that makes them pretty interesting in their utility.
Also, I might add, it may be better to slow them down instead of speeding them up, as that would more easily allow them to be used as a area-denial attack, rather than being able to cheese the clouds into a more distant enemy base, like some sort of invulnerable zerg-rush.
No, the unit fires 10 rockets of which 3 release gas clouds, those will always spawn, and yeah, i would like to tweak it more but im using a method that doesnt allow it, that could change in the next months once more traits are developed / updated.
If it's an actor, can't you change it's movement speed?
