What began as a minor financial problem in the year of 2008, spiraled into a massive downturn of war and death. In 2015 the USA signs the AGA bill (American Goods Act) making it illeagal to ship jobs overseas to countries like China, Japan, Taiwan, and India. This act however poses a direct threat to the Chinese economy. The chinese government would not tolerate this act of war on the chinese economy and declares war a few months later. By 2016, the entire world is at war.

Since we're planning on moving to the AS Page soon, there wasnt any real reason on adding a news article since it will just be deleted along with the rest of the content come october.

Just some updates on plans and progress. We've been focusing on the CEC Faction primarily. Sol is finishing some Infantry parts like a few weapons, additional uniform/body types, armor and helmet variations. All with the goal of finishing all the objects for the infantry so I can make the "breeds" out of them and send them back, effectivley letting him focus on vehicles or flora or whatever.

News on Infantry related
- 3 Variations for the MK6 Helmet, one with goggles on the helmet, one without, and one with the goggles covering the eyes
- Adding a heavy BDU Skin for some of the bulkier infantry types. Will feature armored shoulder pads similar to the American ACU Uniforms.
- Adding a heavy armor variant. Modifying the one that was shown in the images page, removing the backpack, adding a groin protector and several boxes of MG Ammunition. Obviously for the MG soldier types
- Making a second medium armor variant, Just removing the backpack on this one
- Removing the random bloodstains from all armor types *I nagged Sol about this*
- finishing the work on the last few remaining weapons. Including the FN MAG, Carl Gustav M3, ERYX AT Launcher, and MG3
- adding an M203 to the AUGA3 to make a grenadier variant.

News on vehicles
- For the CEC Vehicles, We're going to attempt to give them a Semi-Futuristic Hexagon Camo pattern, Something that's been popping up in a few Militaries accross the world, but are probably better known as being seen in games like Crysis 2 and the Upcoming ArmA III.

News on Voiceovers
I decided to put any voice acting on hold since we never really got any offers, I myself have recorded some placeholder Russian lines for the Russian faction, but my heavy Maritime Canadian Accent kind of impeded me from doing any European Language voiceovers. But overall we are just going to use the default Men of War voices until later when we actually have time to work on them. I'm doing a lot of coding and gameplay stuff latley. so the Voiceover stuff isnt a concern for now

News on Gameplay
We've only worked on the CEC Faction so far, most of it's weapons and equipment, are either completley finished, or are underway. But the thought struck me that we have a -lot- of small arms for the Europeans. On Friday I sat there with the list of weapons and availalbe equipment and finalized a "breed" list, effectivley which soldier will carry what etc. We found a home for everything, a few things to note that there will be 3 regular army riflemen types, one for each service rifle, the VHS-D, AUGA3 and SA80 *The latter being an auxillary weapon and will not appear in many units*

I used to play ArmA II a lot, and it came to me that there were a lot of soldier types that we werent considering until now. We're going to add unit types with things like Grenadiers, Fireteam Leaders and Squad Leaders, Ammo Mules, etc.

there will be two types of MG Soldiers, Automatic Riflemen who carry support weapons like the FN MInimi, M249 or RPK-74M, and Machinegunners who carry general purpose MGs like the FN MAG, M240 and PK Pecheneg

There will also be three levels of AT Soldiers, Riflemen with light AT Weapons such as a RPG-7V or an AT4, AT Specialists with things like a Carl Gustav M3 or RPG-29. And Heavy AT Soldiers carrying massive Launchers like the Javelin, Eryx, AT-14 Kornet, etc The latter class will carry only the launcher and a sidearm for balancing purposes, and for obvious reasons the stronger the class the more expensive it will be.

Fireteam leaders will essentially be Riflemen with a few extra items, they will be the leaders of smaller 5 man fireteams while squad leaders will be the equivalent of a low ranking officer in charge of 10 man squads. there will also be a number of specialty teams like a medic, sniper or engineer, which are essentially special purpose units that have 1 or 2 regular army soldiers to back them up.

All specialty units will also be purchasable by themselves.

So in a nutshell there will be a variety of Infantry Squads, Fireteams, and smaller units all with distinct purposes.
The purpose of a Regular Infantry fireteam opposed to a full 10 man unit is simple, someone playing may have just purchased a big fancy Leclerc Tank, and may not have enough points to buy a full infantry squad yet. so he gets a Fireteam instead.

Lastly, on the topic of special forces units, I've divided them in to two categories.
Elite Soldiers and Special forces.

Elite, Think US Army Ranger, Special forces, think Delta force
both only have one squad, and will be rather expensive, Elite soldiers will basically be regular army soldiers in appearance but will have more advanced weaponry, tougher to kill, and better weapon proficiencies.

Special forces will have their own uniform types and will be even more expenisve, will be downright deadly with their weapons, have a variety of equipment to take out almost any threat. and will probably be limited to 1 squad active at a time.

We plan to give you enough options to play the game the way YOU Want to.

I copied an excerpt from my breeds/squads list. to give you an idea of what kinds of squads will be available for the CEC, And what each squad consists of. see below

When I pasted this the format got dumped, I tried to make it as readable as possible.
-Note, as mentioned there are 3 riflemen types, this is a copied from a raw document so they still have their in game breed names, they are self explanitory however. RiflemanV1 uses a VHS-D, A1 uses an AUGA3, and S1 uses an SA80.
