Schism it's fantasy themed gameplay expansion for Doom, Hexen and Heretic, bringing to this games some modern and innovative features. It uses Brutal Doom as base, however for more than 6 years of development it become something much more than another alteration of most famous Doom mod. Imagine what if heroes of all three worlds - Earth, Cronos and Pathoris join forces in war against demons. Now this dream come true - Schism provides new playable classes, such as Paladin, Sorcerer and Heretic. Each of Hexen and Heretic classes received special abilities and new powers after slaying The Serpent Riders, as well as obtain most iconic weapons from their worlds. However, it's not power fantasy - gameplay difficulty was increased by adding new, much more dangerous enemies, as well as rebalancing existing ones. UAC Marine - native Doom class also got a bunch of new firearms, so now available arsenal will fit all possible combat situations.
Despite still being in development, it's already a rather solid mod with 2 new classes with their unique abilities and quirks, which adds welcome variety.
A very pleasant modification of Brutal Doom that augurs well for the best for the future.

Despite this mod largely being a work in progress and has bugs, it's a great sub-mod of BDv21 with a lot of content and different player classes to choose from. Some player classes play differently compared to the default Marine class, so I highly recommend experimenting and playing around with those player classes.
It's been a long time since I played a game and giggled like a little kid because of how over the top violent, and fun it was. Exploding demons with lightning magic, shooting fire bombs. The way using a sword moves the screen in such a way to make it feel like it has real weight is such a great detail as well. There is a lot of fun to be had in this mod I highly recommend it.
A violent classic turned originality, a tale told by bloodshed, magic and slashing is a true embodiment of quick and enjoyable fun. Even whilst still in development this mod is a welcome for a fresh new variety of playthroughs, truly an old wish come true.
I must say, this mod has a lot of charm to it. Honestly, it’s full of bugs right now but it is early access and we will get to those nasty bugs and make it fun for all Id tech 1 games :) . The classes are pretty cool, the weapons are awesome, a really fun way to play with others through Multiplayer (and of course Singleplayer isn’t bad either, just obviously more fun to play with friends). The team has done very well on this mod (I’ll let others say what I did; I meant the other members besides me).
