The RotWK: HD Edition is a model pack featuring both reworked and all-new unit and hero models for Rise of the Witch-king. Our goal is to overhaul RotWK's unit and hero graphics while maintaining online intercompatibility and smooth gameplay. RotWK: HD Edition is being developed by Mathijs and RiderOfRohan.

EHUUUEUUGHHHHH

That's so much better than the originals it can't even be adequately put into words. **** the old one was bad. **** this one is good.

Are the animations still gimli-clones or will there be a different set?

Can't do a different set - our HD Editions are meant to be intercompatible with people that don't have it, meaning we have to avoid all code changes.

Interesting, are animations in BFME code related? In the game I mod they're part of the model. Since you're changing models and textures I was assuming you could swap those out no problem.

Unfortunately not how it works for us.
Basically we have to bind each model to a specific skeleton and the code identifies which model, skeleton, and animations play for that unit. So since we can't change the code to make it intercompatible online, we have to keep those names the same.
You could consider this mod just an entire art overwrite lol.

I actually liked the EA model better... Just kidding, the new model looks fabulous, maybe the best Iron Hills design I've seen so far.

The shield will probably be put on his back, mostly decorative, so that fits the original animations, right ?

Will there be a variation of the renowed mattock used in the third film as an alternative weapon beside the hammer ?

Description

Dwarven Zealots will be sporting an Iron Hills look, referencing the fact that Dain Ironfoot is King Under the Mountain.
