In southern Europe a new power is stirring, having brought all of Italy under its heel the Wolf of Rome now turns its attention to across the seas, but were will its gaze fall upon first? The strong Carthaginian Empire, with its mighty navy and proud Phoenician legacy, or perhaps on the city states of Greece, the birthplace of invention, philosophy and culture, or will the wolf take on the vast and wild lands beyond the Alps, inhabited by large, fierce and fair skinned warriors. Or could history be altered? Will Hannibal finally smash down the gates of Rome, could the warring states of Greece unite against a greater foe, or will the barbarian hordes pour over the alps in a great wave destroying all in their path. In this fragile time for the republic and nothing is certain, with the Illyrian pirates picking at its heels and the threat of rebellion ever present the future of Rome and indeed the ancient world is far from certain.

Niiiiice.... But, um, do you think you can create some larger ships? Hexaremes, for example.

I'd like that, but I wouldn't see much point in it - some smaller trade ships would be good though

I'm sure we'd be able to accommodate both :-D

Then it would be a good idea to allow the larger ship to be bought based on renown and skills.

Yeah, like a marine class or something, who are a one up on the typical legionnaire by being able to sail, or something.

They'd have to lack something that the land legionary has to balance it ;-)

that'd be hard, because generally marines could be more skilled than legionnaires, due to the conditions they have to fight in (balance was massively important during a fight on a ship, for instance) - i'll have to let you decide that :)

Doddzeh99, instead of marines, add some Praetorianum Imperialis or something. The personal guard of the Emperor, chosen from the elite praetorian guard, the best killing machine across the empire. Unless I miss my guess, there really was something like that, as some emperors didn't trust the skills of normal praetorians.

Thank you for appreciating our ideas and sorry to put you to hard work :). But what I want most is equipment in more colors. As I said : praetorian helmet with black/white/purple/red/green/blue/crimson/brown crest and each one with a corresponding segmentata.
