The "new" E-11 carbine (and I consciously say "carbine" and not "rifle")

I always wanted the E-11 to have a bit more length. And I wondered why the smallest "rifle" in the imperial arsenal is scoped, while those who could need it by far more aren't. Just like the guy who created the DC15s felt, I guess.
The standard issued weapon for the troopers will now be non-scoped like the clone copy. The scoped variant will be mostly used by squad leaders and veterans. I might add one with holo sights too.
The scope is an advanced range finding sight. Ironically it was supposed to give Storm troopers an edge by automatically adjusting the optical parameters to best suit the users conditions at any given time. lol at how well it worked though.
The E-11 rifle/carbine confusion is the E-11's folding three position stock is always seen folded up and appearing as an under barrel grip or at best simply unfolded resembling the sterling smg. If unfolded and fully extended the E-11 would be at least an inch or two longer than the A295.
I bring this up because I think it would be interesting to see your take on the fully extended rifle version should you get the time.
I wonder if the stock was ever supposed to be functional as such when the E-11 was "created". I know it is in the EU and wiki pages. But since there is weapons like the F11D and E11D which have other stocks and use the original one as underbarrel grip, I decided to keep it as that too. Well that plus I really prefer the way it looks with folded stock.
There is always room to add more variants for such a widely used weapon, including an alternate rifle variant. But there is also a variety of other rifles. Especially with the addition of the E-22.
While it wasn't shown, I would imagine it was. The E-11 was so common and widely used by the storm corp. that it would make sense it was built to be versatile to fit the multiple conditions a trooper would face across the galaxy.
Well, it's based on the Sterling SMG, so lengthening it is not a big deal as long as it looks similar! Really digging the non-scoped version! Great job
Personally don't like this decision, but the model does look good. Is there going to be a stat difference in range?
I mean i like the addition of it, i just don't like it replacing the normal one in the regulars, if anything shouldn't squad leaders get the carbine?
