A totally new co-op based zombie mod. Hey just played it. Its pretty nice layout. i like the changes. one minor complaint is that the bloody writing on the wall looks to formal. maybe do a custom text for those if you do an update, or on a new map. but thats just a little nip pick thing. other than that good work.

Since Vacant as well as the other Additional Maps for RotU don't appear in regular Start New Server menus, you have to use the console.
Type "map mp_surv_vacant" without the quotes into the developer console. To open the console, press the ` key that is to the left of the 1 key. If that didn't open the console, you need to enable it in the Options > Game Options.

I doubt you are setting it up correctly. Ensure you use the right commands or exec line. BTW, you should thank the guys for helping you.

I had exactly the same problem as you. I tried to start my own server and could play maps like bloc and ambush but no zombies would spawn and i had no weapon. I also couldn't go into the game options when trying to start a server. Here is a solution, hope it helps.
Firstly make sure you have downloaded all 3 rotu versions and put them in the right place (e.g C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\cod4\mods. except for the mods and usermaps folders from 1.15 i think it is. they go in the cod4 folder.)
Then download and install patches 1.6 and 1.7 for cod4 (1.6 kept crashing on me but i just kept trying it and it eventually worked)
after you've done all that it should work properly, i.e you can host servers and the correct maps will appear and you can get into the options.
I am, however, having difficulty connecting to other servers to play rotu online. i enter the i.p address and it says downloading rotu\zombiesurvival or something like that and freezes. any help with this is greatly appreciated.
i already downloaded the 1.7 patch for call of duty 4... but its still the same

i have a litle problem with this map...
I can start the mod and play it.
But when i open this map per console i spawn outside the map without weapon, the zombies don't spawn.
Has anybody a solution?...(i can play all other zombie maps)

To the above who are having trouble with running/playing the mod:
There are resources available on the net for which you can learn how to get a mod running - use them.
All of the RotU errors described above could be fixed if you initialised RotU properly - in the console, execute your rotu config - type '/exec rotu.cfg' . Then start your server. You will be fine.

Hi i got the mod today but not this map yet, i download the 1.15 version and when i try to make a server i click start but it won't start PLEASE help me.
