But maybe you should reconsider to use MLRS again, Snegopad is also MLRS so it would more interesting if allies gets something else than MLRS.
Maybe something like V2 (V3) launcher?. Keep vehicle same, but with one huge missile instead of five. In Red Alert universe with no hitler and nacies around Verner fon Brown would be probably allied scientist and V2 allied weapon so it would be quite logical conclusion. I never understand why was V2 missile in original RA soviet weapon, because they suppose to be evil like nacies? I dont know but it was always the most WTF unit in whole series. Well, until R3 came out, there i lost my count XD
This MRLS on a modular chassis, it is the Alliance will be used frequently.
This is due to the fact that the Soviet MRLS has a large scatter when fired, and Allied MRLS more accurate and suitable for breaking the enemy defenses and destroy an especially large and armored targets (Apoc-tanks, etc.).
And yes, Red Alert is a tradition to associate with the Soviets by the Nazis in military terms. I think it's silly and because of this lost original real-Soviet series and experimental weapons and style of the Soviet army.
P.S.: I remind you that we do not adhere canons series of Red Alert in the plot and the universe of mod. So we have the story goes completely different :)
Which is actually one of the things I'm intrigued about with this mod. "Like Red Alert, but..." Taking the general framework of the original game, and adding your own spin to it. And, so far, it looks like it's working out quite well.
I see now, then is everything alright :)
Больше похожа на стратегическое ПВО, на заднем фоне РЛС нарисована же :). А модульное исполнение это художественный «оживляшь» или будет что-то типа скриновского механоида из Ярости Кейна?
И еще вопрос: почему спарка автопушек на тяжелом бронетранспортёре (тяжелой БМП) излишне мощное оружие, а на тягаче системы залпового огня нет?
Это не БМП, это единая платформа для лёгкой точечной РСЗО Альянса (ты приглядись, это не две разных машины, это одна и та же, просто ракетная установка на прицепе), а спарка пулемётов для самообороны с воздуха. Альянс помешан на защите.
Модульность... Это секретная информация :)))
