"Records of the Late Qing Dynasty - Total War" is a Chinese mod based on the Medieval 2 Total War engine. The game starts in the late Qing Dynasty during the Tongzhi and Guangxu eras, when the Qing Empire was in a period of internal turmoil and external threats, trembling under the looting of the Western powers, and began a large-scale overseas expansion movement to train new-style armies. Military reforms were carried out under the watch of Western powers. However, this has not been able to save the huge empire from its precarious state and the Qing Dynasty continued its decline until it was eventually overthrown in the Xinhai Revolution in 1911.
