Coming in R02: Light the AP-AM up like a crimbo tree by applying the Projector Kit upgrade, which provides an additional 16 hit points by shielding key areas (i.e. the cockpit) of the chassis with permanent semi-permeable barriers. You'll need to find the kit and then get somebody to apply it to access this upgrade.
