Republic Assault is a full scale conversion mod for the Petroglyphy game Star Wars Forces of Corruption. Using elements from both the current canon, and existing EU to create the best possible game experience.
In collaboration with Kad_Venku, and Doci, I'm proud to present a Venator with opening doors. With a special Lua script created just for this, the Venator will now open and close it's doors when deploying a squadron of starfighters.

That looks great. My only complaint is that the fighter deployment isn't automatic but that probably can't be helped due to engine limitations. Great work!
It looks great, but I think the animation should be a little slower & the ship should release several squadrons at at time rather than just one.
It seems I was mistaken. The process is controlled by the manual fighter deploy system set up by Kad. Looks great! is there any way for it to still work that way but while using (for example) Fire all batteries and Power to shields?
Well, the script was more of a combined effort between me and Kad. I laid the ground work, and Kad fixed it up. The actual process itself isn't too far off from Kad's state machine for the B-Wing (What I based the script off).
In Kad's basic script, the animations to go from idle to combat mode are triggered in two way. Either have the fighter go into combat mode by selecting a target, or by activating hunt mode. When I made the Venator door script, I used the hunt portion of Kad's script to trigger the open/close animations with a trigger of "DEPLOY_SQUADRON" instead of "HUNT".
Anyways, while I haven't tested such a thing yet, there shouldn't be a reason for it not to work.
The script has nothing to do with YVaW's hangar system. It is a very basic conditional animation trigger which does not interfere with other abilities in any way.
Will you be adding in textures to the inside of the venator to make it appear as though their is a hanger inside, or will they be staying black as we see in the image?
There is a hanger texture, but I might need to brighten up the bottom.
We could set in some of these Hangar rayshields.
The bottom is actually that black and fully textured.
I was thinking of doing that actually. As for the floor, I can't recall if it was a black or a grey in TCW.

Animations can't really be helped, there's only so long for the doors to be closed/opening up until the squadron is out.

I love you guys on a whole new level. Plus a quick question, would you have the munificent frigate have those movable turrets underneath it's metallic shielding as featured in the "Clone Wars" series?
i think that is the best model ive ever seen for a venator, but i feel as thought the hangars closing and opening is too fast
Have realise the engines on the back are inaccurate. I think the model by Jeroenimo is better when it comes to accuracy. Just saying...
Since the venator gets the deploy fighter ability, will it loose its ability to use the SPHA-T canon that it has in the current version ?
