Republic Assault is a full scale conversion mod for the Petroglyphy game Star Wars Forces of Corruption. Using elements from both the current canon, and existing EU to create the best possible game experience.

Randomized ship layers are cool and all, but I feel like it lessens the effectiveness of the strategy of an all-out brute force smack in the face approach since often times the enemy will be firing at where my ships will be before they even get there due to them shooting at the thing that makes the layer z script work in the first place (this coming from my experience in EAW:Re and ORAW). Despite this I must admit it looks really cool.
Also this may just be me, but I feel like Thrawn would make a better Tech 6 or 7 commander since he never actually did anything during the Clone Wars. If I had to replace him in the earlier tech levels, I would probably use either Zsinj or Needa (if he isn't already in the mod).
I introduced varied Z-axis to actually lessen the effectiveness of just spamming one unit type in a brute force attack. With varied heights for ships, you'll need to account if the ship has top mount, side mount, or bottom mount weapons. As for the enemy shooting at you before you're deployed, I did notice that, and I think there might be a way to introduce a invulnerability effect via lua scripting.
As for Thrawn, I think I'll keep him at tech 5. At this point, there's not enough information to say when he actually joined the Empire, and if he actually played a role in TCW. Though, this is all subject to change based of the upcoming Thrawn novel.
Well that makes sense then, although unless I'm mistaken only a couple of ships in your mod have turrets on the bottom at the moment. Still plenty of time to change that though.
I was speaking of Legends Thrawn since that's when the one that's been around longer and has the most written about him. I can't speak for canon Thrawn since I haven't seen any Rebels episodes since the finale of season 2.
I'm planning on rerigging most of the ships, and updating some models. I've already updated and rigged a Munificent, Recusant, and added Doci donation of the Venator in the files. This updating also includes a more accurate weapon count.
If the Thrawn novel tells of any TCW stories, then he'll probably stay. If not, I might move him up a tech level. To be honest, I really only added Thrawn, just to have Thrawn.
They're already invincible from what I remember.
I'm not sure on that, I think that they did take damage, but I'll have to look at the video.
From what I learned from other novels, Thrawn was found during the Empire time by an imperial convoy investigating Chiss. If I recall he managed to destroy a Star Destroyer with a single corvette. That got the Emperor's attention. That is if I recall correctly, May need to do some research. Anyways, you could get him to appear at Tech 5 when Order 66 is activated.
Actually, in an EU short story I read on pdf, he joined the Empire approximately a week or so after the events of ROTS.
Does the randomized ship layer causes that brief delay when you call reinforcemence? Just curious.

The ISD, like the YVaW one is planned to be the pinnacle of power in the mod. At least after it's finishing touches on the rehaul.
For balancing reasons I'd rather not just give one away. Plus, the mod is planned to take you around 14 BBY. Give or take for some of the new heroes.
