Now here's where Dodonna comes into play.

With Screed being the offensive player, Dodonna having a Rebellion future would make more sense to be defensive in nature. Dodonna will feature less powerful weapon systems, but the health of the systems, and ship will be boosted a lot more (And vice versa for Screed).

When coding for Dodonna, I gave him the lure ability to draw fire from Screed, and power to shields to give him another boost in defense capabilities.

All of this is subject to change, and I'm open to suggestions.

The "Switch Weapons" ability only works with MuzzleB bones. To make the top turret move and work, I had to use MuzzleA, at least I think that's a requirement. It'd be better to let the turret target aircraft by default anyway.

UPDATE: I'd like to thank Sly for point out the MuzzleB thing for the rocket ability. With that I went back to look at the Victory hardpoint XML and found the concussion missiles would fire from 1 of 2 bones for a max of 8 missiles at a time.

This has since been fixed, and Dodonna's, and Screed's Victory and the general Victory now have 16 concussion missile hardpoints (Up from 8) and will generally fire 8 concussion missiles (Up from 4, as the way FoC functions it seems the ship will fire on a certain side depending on how it's facing), but can fire a max of 16 missiles (Up from 8).

In conclusion, invest in armor plating. (I wonder if I can make this a thing)

It's looking so amazing!!! I haven't been able to really see all these updates because I've been so preoccupied with school. You guys have made a lot of progress and I can't wait to see the next indev :) oh and if you need anything i'll be happy to help

Description

Sorry about that funky name, wanted it to sound kind of in universe.

That aside, I've decided to start this kind of blog like thing to give information on less known, or legends heroes or units, and give information on the unit in game. Quite similar to the "We Could Be Heroes" articles done by Thrawn's Revenge.

Now, onto the article.

Terrinald Screed, or Captain Screed as he'll be known in mod, was an officer of the Judicial Department during the waning years of the Republic, and early political ally of Palpatine. Screed had lost his left after breaking the Biskaran Pirate's siege of Niele.

During the Clone Wars, he served in the Republic Navy along with Captain Jan Dodonna. Together they both commanded the Victory Fleet. The Victory Fleet, was a unit in the Republic Navy composed of the Victory-I Star Destroyers that were equipped with multiple special concussion missile launchers.

In Game Information:

When I went about coding Screed and Dodonna, I thought how could I make them different but be able to work together. Now I can't exactly make them a perfect synergy, but it did give me ideas.

Screed, being Imperial in the future I thought might be willing to sacrifice defense for weapon power. Which is why I gave him the power to weapons ability, which like in base game, drains the unit's shields for a weapons boost. Though his second ability I think is far more unique.

Now, like the basic Victory-I, Screed's still has 8 concussion missile tubes, but here's where it changes. Now if anyone's played with the vanilla T4B tank, you'd know it has a rocket ability. This can easily be adapted for other things (Like how I tried the ACAT tank to have AA). Unlike the ACAT AA this actually worked, when his special ability activates, it will switch off all weapon systems except the concussion missile tubes. The tubes will then be loaded with a special missile (It's huge in game), that have a damaged boosted from 18, to 150.
