Republic Assault is a full scale conversion mod for the Petroglyphy game Star Wars Forces of Corruption. Using elements from both the current canon, and existing EU to create the best possible game experience.
Here's something a bit smaller while work is being done on the super ships.
Anyways, the Gladiator-class has been reclassified as a Heavy Cruiser instead of a Star Destroyer.
The Gladiator will also not be directly unlocked via tech leveling. Instead, you the player can choose to divert resources into a research project, which when complete, gives you access to the Gladiator. So while in canon, the Gladiator was designed during the Clone Wars but never finished, you can choose to actually complete it if you so choose.

The research idea sounds really cool! Would the research be similar to Phoenix Rising Mod or sightly different?
Maybe? Not really sure how Phoenix Rising does their research, so I can't really say.
