New Knight gore, Arch-Vile changes, more HD textures, the Rabid Flamethrower and bloody footprints have entered the picture! Throwing in more Brutal aspects can be bad to some, but don't worry--this mod will never be Brutal Doom lite.
I've added the Hell Knight gore from Brutal Doom proper, because for whatever reason, SgtMarkIV didn't give them green blood in Brutal Doom 64. It's all good, but I made it green...
...and I took both the red and the green bloody footprints from Brutal Doom as well. It's been long overdue, now it's here in Rabid's Crap. But obviously, credit does not go to me! So step in a pool of blood and watch what happens. They look great.
The Rabid Flamethrower replaces DeadShotgunguys--not the ones you kill, the ones who are placed on the map as corpses. It's an insanely powerful weapon, but scarce. It's the Scuba Steve flame cannon, but it shoots the projectile from the UTNT Flamethrower, which was made with resources by MasterOFMorag, Eriance, Keksdose, 3D Realms and Raven Software. The flames it leaves on the ground can now hurt both you and monsters. The sprites for those are out of B4Doom, resources created by Chris Syrimes and Mr Bubble. I've also added a dynamic light so the little flame on the front of the gun has a flashing glow. You'll need this gun to face the Annihilators on Mt. Erebus.
The Arch-Vile has been changed via a Dehacked file from 1995! That's right...I' had been looking for the file and the WAD that comes with it for years, and I just found it! So I threw the file right in here. Other changes will be coming for Archie in the future, but for right now his hit points have gone through the roof and his attack has been eliminated. So all he does is run around raising enemies, but good like throwing enough firepower at him to kill him! Well...with the flamethrower you can. The new file is from Todd Persen's Final.wad.
