Quake 4 Fortress is a mod (modification) for Quake 4 based on Team Fortress. This means that it still has a similar feel and gameplay to the original game, but the visuals are altered for the most part. It also means that the game retains a lot of Quake 4's key features. Q4F's theme is one that gives a wide variety of locations. The overall themes of the classes and models will be "Retro Futuristic" (aka Wastelandish/Rustic future). This sort of feel gives us the ability to implement any sort of map theme we like. The classes and weapons will feel right at home in space, rundown powerplants, industrial zones, medival structures, castles, modern day bases, the list goes on... Most of the maps consist of Capture the Flag (CTF) type gameplay. This game mode consists of two teams, red and blue. Today I'm pleased to announce the release of our first round of sneak-peek gameplay videos as we get close to testing. While we are running a little behind then we planned (happens when you only have 4 active developers :P), we are still very close to testing. If you haven't yet signed up for testing, be sure to do that soon to get a spot. Signups are still open. (note: you will not recieve a reply until testing begins).

What's that crazy bit all about in the Scout video when he shoots against the wall to walk up it!!??

I'm liking the speed this Fortress variant will play at, that scout was getting from one side of the map in no less than 10 seconds! This hi-octane gameplay could be interesting...

can't wait for this. I find the water texture doesn't look that great but everything else is fine for me beause most is just place holder.
