The heli's you see here play a support role. They primarily transport your infantry. They can also drop supplies onto the battlefied (like a medic's tent that heals all friendly infantry in a small radius). Additionally, they are armed with a relatively powerful anti-infantry machinegun. So while its not a direct assault vehicle, it can be effective in transporting and supporting teams of infantry.
I actually agree, it is a bit small. The scaling of everything is really subject to change, we'll be tweaking it a lot throughout the course of development. I've made it a bit larger and it looks better I think. You'll see it in the next round of screenshots.
is this mod going to be a realistic one, i mean, 2 shots and a normal soldier is dead or? cos in SC2 we had the issue that you must shoot 20 times on a marine before he died
Well one of the reasons most games make it that it takes more than several shots to kill an infantry unit is without an active cover mechanic they need to represent, in some way, a unit diving for cover and hiding from the rounds. Also it is used to represent inaccuracy in the weapon.
When is this gonna get released, at least beta? I'm lovin the looks of it, can we at least get a video of the base building phase, resource management, and apm battles, large army vs large to get a good glimpse at what we need to know, pls:)
Nice job :)
What are the helicopter's roles?

Isn't it bit small? Looks nice nonetheless

Marines in SC2 also have heavy ******* armor that nearly doubles their size and triples their width.
And costs a ton for the government to replace when said marine deploys from a burning barracks amidst a swarm of zerglings.
Only 50 minerals, my friend. Only 50.
Whoa. ******* gorgeous.
well i guess this answered my question about helicopters
Reminds me of Act of War: Direct action
