Description

All three factions in Project Phantom employ weapons of mass destruction, or superweapons as means of last resort. While their functionality differs slightly, all of them share certain common characteristics.

• Superweapon-providing buildings cost $5000, can only be built one of and are locked to the faction even with appropriate technology, except in Unholy Alliance game mode.

• Superweapon-providing buildings come with a running cost of $250 credits every 10 in-game seconds and a hefty power requirement.

• Firing one of the superweapons requires additional $5000 credits, and comes with 15 minute charge / recharge timer.

• Superweapons cause extreme destruction in approximately 18-20 cell radius around target, only Construction Yards, superweapons themselves and experimental units have any hope of surviving without shielding or damage reduction.

• There are some differences in how the effects manifest themselves. Nuclear Missile Strike has slightly lower radius in exchange for spreading radiation and affecting air targets. Seismic Shockwave spreads in a ring pattern that can hit same target multiple times. Singularity Collapse deals damage over time, meaning that it can be harder to dodge it.
