Portal Stories: Mel is a mod consisting of 21 maps with various themes, linked together by a strong, brand new story. There will be new voice lines, models, materials, particle effects, challenging puzzles, and much more! We estimate players to spend 15-45 minutes on each level, making the total time playing the mod 4-12 hours, depending on experience. Most levels consist of puzzles with varying difficulties. The difficulty will always be in the puzzles. The execution will never require any quick reactions.
An explanation why the mod is delayed again. Don't worry we are not dead!

Hello and again, welcome to our moddb page.
Today I'm afraid I have to disappoint you again. We won't make our deadline for the end of February.
We're really making great progress but the maps are not yet the quality we like, so we keep working on that.
The last three weeks I spent a hell of a lot time on the map called sp_mel_just_one cube. Now the map has the quality we want. The only thing we have to do on that map now is replace the blue texture* by behind the scenes things.
The main problem why the mod release is getting pushed back is because our skills keep improving. In the images down below you can see how the map looked before. When I joined the mod I considered the map was almost done and I thought it could be placed in the mod. Now the original map just isn't the quality that we're aiming for². So what we do is upgrade our old maps, but sometimes this takes more time then create an entirely new map.
The final problem is that we create big maps. Every map consists of about 3-4 different tests. Take the demo for example:
These maps are designed to keep you busy for about 15 minutes. So the total playing time we're aiming at is about 4-6 hours!
Here is the status of our team:
And we can also welcome Another Bad Pun to our team, he is currently working on a destroyed themed map which is aimed to be finished next week.
So, we're not dead, we're aiming to get an awesome mod out. We hope to release it in March, but it might become April. Don't be sad, after 9 months in developement, hopefully, it'll be worth the weight.
In the last post I showed some before/after images and here are a few more:
