Pike and Shot II: Total War is a global modification of Total War: Shogun 2, which changes every aspect of the game, creating a historical and realistic representation of the XVII and early XVIII centuries in Europe.
One of the most important introduction of king Gustavus Adolphus was brigade formation. It showed great effectiveness against more common tercio formation, which helped Sweden to destroy Imperial army in Battle of Breitenfeld.
Brigades, however, required a lot of training and coordination, which was difficult to maintain with unexperienced units. After disastrous defeat near Nordlingen, Swedish commanders abandoned complex brigade formation.
In mod Sweden has twice more company commanders than other factions both for historical accuracy and better balanced brigades.
