I was trying to make excursion funnels, which I heard is the easiest portal 2 element to make in Portal 1 SDK, I failed.
Well atleast you got the model on the other side :S
Take a look on how they did it, they might have a way which makes it easy.
Valve uses Portal 2 authoring Tools, which comes with entities for the funnels(I think) Right now, I have to use portal detectors and entity makers lol
