Please enjoy! *NOTE - This was taken on the old episode 1 engine.

 Some motion picture cinema!

Just another quick update for our lovely community here at ModDB.  Please note that this is NOT the 2009 cinematic trailer, rather just updated in-game footage showing more 'interesting' environments rather than the previously uploaded video showcasing a canals environment.

However, please note this footage is still running off an older build (on the Episode 1 engine).  Everything you're seeing including the size of levels, the amount of foliage and all of that great stuff is running smoothly on the Episode 1 engine.
*pat on back*

We are currently working on a cleaner version of the Orange Box port which will allow us to amplify the visual fidelity even more.  The Orange Box will allow us to utilize new features including HDR (High Dynamic Range Lighting) as well as Dynamic Shadows and an increased limit of detail sprites (even more foliage basically!)

Please note (about the video) that this is an older build with older code.  The environment that is showcased in the video is NO WHERE near finished ( the level is called Quagmire ) so please keep that in mind.

Otherwise, please enjoy!

I loved how the weapon handled, very neet. That vehicle seems very nice also, but prefer the way it is in Ep2, it seems much more smooth handling. Hope OB has all the features and mechanics from Ep2.

Multiplayer vehicles in source aren't (to the best of my knowledge) the same as the singleplayer ones. The physics are too complicated for Valve's physics system to cope with online, the Source port of "Half Life: Rally" had to shut down because of this. It takes workarounds to make decent vehicles in Source online, like D.I.P.R.I.P.

HDR is also available in Ep1.

The video is looking really good. I was porting my Mod from Ep1 to OB, too. It is so much better. But anyhow, the world you are creating is pretty cool and i want to see some more ingame footage.

Looks nice, but gameplay first!

Although you probably have it nailed down already if you were working on it for more then 2 years.

The vehicle looks alright, the large antenna sticking out makes it look like a remote controlled car though tbh. Level looks pretty nice too. :)

haha oh man, I was not meaning for this to be posted on the front page... it was motly for the people that check the page every day to get some new ingame footage before we release our trailer from the Orange Box version...

But oh well, **** happens!
Glad you all liked it though!

P.S- the dinosaurs aren't in it because they have been pushed back to receive further development time!

Oh and about trees and bushes... they're in there now.. this is a very early version of the remake of Quagmire... seriously about 2 days of work.. it wont even be recognizable from this video by the time you play it!

So don't worry!

And about vehicles on Source (multiplayer) - yes they are sucky, yes they are tricky, but I am determined to get them right!
